Disc Brake Rotor Replacement Guide — With RDA
> Disc brake rotors are key to stopping safely. They work with your brake pads to get your Peugeot or Citroen pulled up nicely. They do wear out over time, especially if you're always on the brakes in town or hauling the family around.
Symptoms That Led You Here
• Squealing like a stuck pig when you brake
• The brake pedal's vibrating like crazy
• Taking way longer to stop than it used to
• Rotors look all scored, cracked, or rusty
Will it pass WOF?
Dodgy brake rotors are a dead cert for failing your WOF here in NZ. Make sure your rotors are still thick enough and aren't cracked or too rooted to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking on those brakes, make sure you've got everything you need to do the job safely and properly. Brakes are not the place to take shortcuts!
• Safety First, Mate! Never, ever get under a car that's only supported by a jack. Use proper axle stands. Get yourself some Nitrile Gloves to keep the hands clean from all that brake dust and grease. Safety glasses are a no-brainer to keep the crud out of your eyes.
• Cleanliness is Key: Give those new rotors a good blast with some Brake Cleaner to get rid of any manufacturing oils. This helps the brake pads bed in properly.
• Protection Pays Off: A bit of copper anti-seize grease on the caliper bolts will make life easier next time you're in there. A small investment now saves a whole lot of hassle later.
• Lube it Up (where needed): Use a proper caliper grease on the sliding parts of the caliper to keep everything moving freely. This prevents premature wear and annoying squeals.
Expert Recommendation
Worn brake rotors are bad news for your Peugeot and Citroen's safety. Swapping them out keeps your braking spot-on and stops other parts from getting damaged. RDA rotors are a fair deal, but CARFIX has heaps of options to suit your wallet. Pop in and see Bob @ CARFIX and he can sort you out with exactly what you need for your vehicle. Fitment Notes
Double-check these rotors fit your Peugeot or Citroen model and year. Measure the rotor diameter and thickness to match what your car needs. Some models use different rotors on the front and back.
Bob's Tip: Always replace brake pads at the same time as rotors for best performance!

• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
