Swapping Out Your Brake Pads — With a Little Help From TRW
> Brake pads? They're the bits that squeeze against your brake rotors, turning 'go' into 'whoa'. Over time, especially with how we drive our trusty old Hondas and Acuras, they wear down. Less pad means less stop, and that's not ideal, is it?
Narked? Reckon These Are The Usual Suspects:
• Brakes soundin' like a rusty gate swingin' shut?
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights?
• Feel a bit of a judder when you hit the brakes?
• Brake pedal feels soft as?
• Pads look thinner than a cafe lunch?
WOF Woes?
Nah mate, worn-out brake pads are a WOF fail, no question. They need enough meat left on 'em (we're talkin' over 1.5mm, but really, 3mm's the go) and no dodgy contamination. Safety first, always.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get cracking, few things to keep in mind, yeah?
• Safety First, Mates!: Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Jack stands are your best mate here. And safety glasses? No-brainer. Protect those peepers.
• Keep It Clean: Brake dust's nasty stuff. Grab some Brake Cleaner to blast away the muck. Trust me, your lungs will thank you.
• Glove Up: Those brake parts can be rough on the mitts. A decent set of Nitrile Gloves will keep your hands clean and scratch-free.
• Lube It Right: When reassembling, a dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the right spots will keep things smooth and prevent future headaches.

These pads are made for a bunch of classic Hondas and Acuras from the '80s and early '90s, like the Accord, Civic, CRX, and Integra. Double-check the year, model, and engine to be sure they're the right fit.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Brakes get incredibly dirty. Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from stubborn brake dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use a high-quality Brake Cleaner spray to blast away stubborn dust, oil, and road grime from the caliper assembly and new rotors before reassembly.
• Lubrication: Apply a thin smear of high-temperature caliper grease to the pad backing plates and slide pins (keep it off the pad friction material!) to prevent squeals and ensure smooth caliper operation.
