A backup part, only with your say-so
When the exact part isn't available, CARFIX can now line up a proven equivalent, but only if the customer has agreed, and never at extra cost to them.

AUCKLAND, 29 October 2026 — CARFIX has introduced Alternates. When it orders a part from a supply partner, it can now list up to two proven equivalents in case the exact part is unavailable, so the order keeps moving instead of stalling.
Only parts proven to match are listed, and only when the customer has said alternatives are fine. If the customer said no, nothing is listed. An alternate never costs the customer more.
CARFIX also published its Terms of Sale the same day, setting out plainly that its aim is to supply a part that fits the customer's need.

If your exact part's not on the shelf, I'd rather send a proven twin today than make you wait. But only if you've said yes.
