DBA Brakes · Part number DBA040S · NZ$189.00 incl. GST
Gotta stop those big rigs, right? Disc brake rotors are your unsung heroes for safe braking in tough sedans and utes like the Holden Caprice, HSV XU8, and Holden Commodore. They're the surface your brake pads grip to bring you to a halt.
NZ$189.00 including GST. Part number DBA040S.
Disc Brake Rotor Replacement — Featuring DBA
> Disc brake rotors are mission-critical for stopping power. Over time, they cop a hiding from brake pads, especially in vehicles like Holden Caprices and HSV XU8s that see a bit of hard braking. When they wear down, your braking goes south, and that's no good.
Uh Oh, What's That Feeling?
• Brakes squealing like a stuck pig or grinding like you're chewing gravel?
• Brake pedal vibrating like a cellphone on full buzz?
• Taking longer to stop than a cafe lunch queue?
• Rotors looking like they've been attacked by a grinder?
• Brake pads wearing out unevenly? That's a worry.
Will it pass WOF?
Worn or gouged disc brake rotors are a surefire WOF failure here in NZ. Rotors need to hit minimum thickness and be damage-free to pass the test. No worries, easy fix.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get cracking on those rotors, let's make sure you're sorted with the essentials for a safe and tidy job. No point in getting covered in brake dust or taking a trip to A&E, eh?
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper axle stands. And grab some Safety Glasses and Nitrile Gloves — brake dust isn't your friend.
• Brake Cleaner is Your Best Mate: Blast those rotors clean with a quality Brake Cleaner before you even think about fitting them. Gets rid of all the muck and machining oils.
• Copper Anti-Seize: A light smear of copper anti-seize on the caliper bolts makes the job so much easier next time. Stops them from seizing up. Get some at Bob's Shop.
• Don't Forget the Pads! Now's the time to replace those brake pads too. No point putting new rotors on with old, worn pads, right?
Expert Recommendation
Worn disc brake rotors kill the safety and performance of your Holden Caprice, HSV XU8, or Holden Commodore. New ones mean better braking and stop further damage to other brake bits. Fitment Notes
Make sure those new disc brake rotors are the right fit for your Holden. Rotor sizes and mounting patterns can vary, especially across the Holden One Tonner and HSV Grange range.

• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
