Locked down, and checked every night

Customer information at CARFIX now sits behind row-level security, an automated guard checks the locks every night, and any scheduled job that stumbles raises an alarm.

AUCKLAND, 30 September 2026 — CARFIX has completed a security sweep that puts every table holding customer information under row-level security, so each record can only be reached by the services and people entitled to it.

An automated security guard now runs every night, checking that no back door has been opened into the database, and alerting the team if it finds one.

At the same time, CARFIX moved every scheduled job onto a single alarm path. If any automated job fails, the team hears about it straight away.

Locking the doors is step one. Checking them every night is what keeps them locked.
