Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — With RDA
> Disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit in your Ford Ranger's braking setup. They work with the pads to slow you down, and they take a hammering, especially if you're towing or hitting the dusty metal tracks. Over time, they wear down from all that friction and heat. So, let's get them sorted.
Symptoms You've Got Rotor Problems
• Squealing like a gutted pig when you brake
• Feeling a judder through the brake pedal
• Taking longer to stop than you used to
• Seeing scoring, cracks, or rust that looks suss
WOF Woes?
Worn rotors are a no-brainer for WOF failures here in New Zealand. They need to be above the minimum thickness and free from cracks to pass the test. Don't get caught out!

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, mate, safety first! Never get under a car supported only by a jack – always use proper stands. Grab some Nitrile Gloves to keep your hands clean from all that brake dust, and chuck on some safety glasses to keep the muck out of your peepers. Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner to get rid of brake dust and grime. And don't forget a dab of anti-seize grease on the caliper bolts to make life easier next time.
