Oil Filter Change: Keep Your Bimmer Sweet as!
> Oil filters are the unsung heroes, catching all the gritty bits in your engine oil. If you drive a gutsy machine like a BMW, regular oil and filter changes are a no-brainer. A blocked filter starves your engine and can cause some serious damage, especially when you're giving it the beans.
Signs Your Filter's Had It
• Engine's lost its mojo
• Sounds rough as guts
• Oil pressure light's on
• Oil's looking like mud
• Engine's running hotter than a cafe lunch left in the sun
WOF Worthy?
Yep, as long as your new filter's not leaking oil all over the show, you'll pass your WOF with flying colours.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper axle stands – your life's worth more than a few bucks. And chuck on some Safety Glasses to keep the grime out of your peepers.
• Cleanliness Counts: Before you even think about cracking open the filter, give the area a good blast with some Brake Cleaner. Gets rid of all the built-up gunk and makes the job a lot less messy. Plus, grab some Nitrile Gloves – nobody likes oily hands!
• Lube It Up: When fitting the new filter, give the rubber seal a smear of fresh engine oil. This helps it seat properly and prevents leaks. A dab of Anti-Seize Grease on the filter threads makes removal easier next time around.
• Don't Forget the Catchment: Place your Oil Drip Tray strategically to avoid spills on your nice clean driveway.
