Got a Great Wall V-Series or X-Series Ute or SUV? Brakes are like, *mission-critical*, mate. TRW brake pads give you the stopping power you need, whether you're hauling gear or cruising the main drag.
NZ$116.00 including GST. Part number GDB7821DT.
Swapping Out Your Brake Pads — Featuring TRW
> Brake pads? They're your Ute's way of saying "whoa!" They clamp onto the rotors, turning all that forward motion into heat to bring you to a halt. But they wear down over time, especially if you're always loaded up or towing the boat. Less pad means less stopping, and that's a no-go.
Tell-tale Signs It's Time for New Pads
• Brakes sound like a flock of seagulls arguing (squealing).
• Stopping distances are getting longer than a queue for a pie at halftime.
• The brake pedal's vibrating like a kid with too much fizzy drink.
• Pedal feels soft and spongy, like a day-old sponge cake.
• Pads are looking thinner than a cafe lunch (less than 3mm).
Will it pass WOF?
Nope. Worn brake pads are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. Not enough pad, or uneven wear, and you're off to the garage. Safety first, always!

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you even think about cracking open the toolbox, grab these essentials to make the job safer and cleaner than a surgeon's scrub room:
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Axle stands are non-negotiable. Eye protection Safety Glasses is also a no-brainer when dealing with brake dust and grime.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. A can of Brake Cleaner will blast away the muck and keep things running smoothly. Plus, a clean workspace is a happy workspace.
• Glove Up: Protect your mitts with some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves. Brake cleaner and old brake fluid aren't exactly kind to your skin.
• Anti-Seize is Your Friend: A dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper pins will keep everything moving freely and prevent future headaches.

• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Brakes get incredibly dirty. Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from stubborn brake dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use a high-quality Brake Cleaner spray to blast away stubborn dust, oil, and road grime from the caliper assembly and new rotors before reassembly.
• Lubrication: Apply a thin smear of high-temperature caliper grease to the pad backing plates and slide pins (keep it off the pad friction material!) to prevent squeals and ensure smooth caliper operation.
