Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — DBA Style
> Disc brake rotors are dead important for stopping safely in your Honda Accord or Prelude. Over time, they can wear down, warp from the heat, or just get plain rusty, making your braking less effective, especially in tough conditions on our roads.
Recognise These Warning Signs?
• Brakes screamin' like a banshee or grindin' like you're shredding metal
• Steering wheel shakin' when you hit the picks
• Taking longer to pull up than a cafe lunch
• Rotors lookin' rough with scoring, rust, or other damage
• Brake pads wearing unevenly?
WOF Woes?
Worn or rooted disc brake rotors are a quick way to fail a WOF here in New Zealand. Your rotors need to be above the minimum thickness and in good nick to pass the test.

Before you get stuck in, a few things to keep you safe and the job tidy:
• Safety First, Mates! Never get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper axle stands. And chuck on some Safety Glasses to keep the crud out of your peepers.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner before you start pulling things apart. It'll make the job much nicer.
• Glove Up: Protect your hands with some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves. Keeps the grease and grime off your skin.
• Copper Anti-Seize: A light smear of anti-seize on the caliper bolts will make life easier next time you're in there.
