AUCKLAND, 23 July 2026 — New Zealand's car market is unlike most. About half of the light passenger vehicles imported into the country arrive used, many of them Japanese domestic models that international parts catalogues never listed.
CARFIX has closed that gap at scale, linking more than 12,000 locally registered vehicle variants to the international vehicle identifiers that parts catalogues use. A car that once fell between the cracks now resolves to its proper parts list.
For owners of imports, it means typing a rego and getting parts for the car actually in the driveway, not the closest thing the catalogue happened to know.

Plenty of the cars on our roads were never sold new here. They still deserve the right parts, and now they get them.
