Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — The RDA Way
> Disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit in your Peugeot or Citroen's braking system. They gradually wear down from constant friction with the brake pads. This wear reduces your braking efficiency, especially with the stop-start driving in the city and those long open-road trips we Kiwis love.
What Clued You In?
• Annoying squealing or grinding when you hit the brakes.
• Feeling a judder or pulsing through the brake pedal.
• Taking longer to stop than usual.
• Seeing grooves or damage on the rotor.
• Your brake pads are wearing unevenly.
Will it pass WOF?
Worn or scored brake rotors are a common reason for a WOF failure. Your rotors need to be thicker than the manufacturer's minimum and without major cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates!: Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper stands; your life's worth it!
• Cleanliness Counts: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner to keep the workspace clean and the new parts contamination-free.
• Protect Your Hands: Those dusty metal tracks can be tough on the skin. Grab some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves to keep the hands clean.
• Anti-Seize is Your Friend: A little anti-seize on the caliper bolts will make your life easier next time.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
