Description

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — With RDA!
> Your Subaru's brake rotors are dead important, right? Over time, they get worn down, maybe warp from the heat, or just get plain rusty, especially if you're ragging it around town or hitting those open roads in your Impreza or Forester. Time for some new ones, mate.
The Telltale Signs You Need New Rotors
• Hear some awful squealing or grinding when you hit the brakes?
• Feel a bit of a wobble or pulsing through the pedal?
• Taking longer than usual to stop?
• See some nasty scoring, rust, or just plain damage on the rotors?
Will it pass WOF?
Buggered brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They gotta be within that minimum thickness and not too far gone to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under your Subaru when it's only held up by a jack. Use proper jack stands – it's a no-brainer.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is minging stuff. Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner before you start pulling things apart. It'll make the job way nicer.
• Protect Your Hands: Those rotors can be rough on the mitts, and brake cleaner isn't exactly a hand cream. Grab some Nitrile Gloves – your skin will thank you for it.
• Stop the Squeal: A wee smear of anti-seize caliper grease on the contact points can stop annoying squeals later on. Worth its weight in gold, that stuff.
Bob's Two Cents
Worn brake rotors are a safety risk, plain and simple. Chucking in some new ones keeps your braking spot-on and stops other bits from getting damaged. Pop into Bob's Shop, and we'll sort you out with the right rotors for your Subaru. No sweat!
Fitment Notes
Double-check those new rotors fit your Subaru model and year. Some have different sizes or need special brake pads. Bob's here to help if you get stuck.
Bob's Tip: Don't forget to bed in those new rotors properly, or you'll be back here sooner than you think!

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
