Swapping Out Your Brake Discs — The RDA Way
> Your disc brake rotors are a seriously important part of your braking system. Over time, the friction from the brake pads wears them down, meaning you don't stop as well, you get vibrations, and things can get dicey fast, especially in a performance beast like the HSV Clubsport or Holden Commodore.
What Clued You In?
• Pedal's pulsing or vibrating when you brake
• Squealing or grinding like crazy
• Taking way longer to stop than it used to
• Can see scoring or damage on the disc itself
• Your brake pads are wearing unevenly
Will it pass WOF?
Worn or rooted disc brake rotors are a super common reason for failing a WOF here in NZ. Discs have to be a certain thickness and not too damaged to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper jack stands without fail. Those Commodores are heavy.
• Brake Cleaner: Blast away that brake dust before you start pulling things apart. Keeps the workspace clean and stops you breathing it in. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner.
• Glove Up: Keep your hands clean and protected with some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves. Brake dust and grease are no one's friends.
• Anti-Seize: A smear of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper bolts will make life much easier next time you're in there. Stops things seizing up.
• Eye Protection: Safety glasses are a no-brainer when you're dealing with brakes. Flying dust and debris are not ideal for your eyes.
