Gotta keep those brakes sharp, eh? Disc brake rotors are what your brake pads clamp onto to bring your Merc S-Class or trusty Pajero to a halt.

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — RDA's the Go!
> Disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit for stopping safely. Over time, they can get worn, warped, or even cracked from all the heat and friction. It's especially common in bigger vehicles like your Mercedes-Benz S-Class or that Mitsubishi Pajero you use for towing the boat or hitting the dusty metal tracks.
What Clued You In?
• That brake pedal doing the Macarena on your foot?
• Brakes squealing like stuck pigs?
• Taking longer to pull up than a cafe lunch?
• Rotors looking like they've seen better days (cracks or deep grooves)?
WOF Woes?
Dodgy disc brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They gotta be within the minimum thickness and free from cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you dive in, mate, a few things to keep in mind to make sure you're sorted.
• Safety First, Eh? Never get under a car that's only held up by a jack! Proper stands are non-negotiable. And chuck on some Safety Glasses to keep the brake dust out of your peepers.
• Keep it Clean: Brakes create some proper dust. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast that carbon dust away. Trust me, your lungs will thank you.
• Protect Your Digits: Those brake parts can be grimy. A decent set of Nitrile Gloves will keep your hands clean and protected.
• Stop the Squeal: A wee dab of anti-seize Caliper Grease on the caliper bolts will help prevent annoying squeals and make future servicing a breeze.
Bob's Two Cents
Running on worn brake rotors is just asking for trouble. Replacing them keeps your braking top-notch and lowers the risk of a prang, which is always a good thing, especially in a heavier vehicle. If you're unsure, pop in and see me at Bob's Shop and we'll get you sorted!
Fitment Notes
Double-check those new rotors are the right fit for your specific Mercedes-Benz S-Class or Mitsubishi Pajero. Rotor diameter and thickness need to match what you had before. Some models have different rotor sizes depending on the trim level, so be sure to check this out.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
