Sorting Out Those Disc Brake Rotors — With RDA
> Disc brake rotors are what makes your Honda Accord or Prelude actually stop! They get a real hiding from friction, heat, and all the crud on our roads. When they're past it, your braking goes to custard, and that's no good.
What Clued You In?
• Brakes sound like a strangled cat?
• The brake pedal's doing the Macarena?
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights?
• Rotors look like they've been attacked by a grinder?
Keen for a WOF Pass?
Dodgy brake rotors are a surefire way to fail a WOF here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and not cracked to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you even think about cracking those wheel nuts, let's talk safety and a few must-haves to make this job a piece of cake:
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper axle stands.
• Keep it Clean: Blast away all that nasty brake dust with some Brake Cleaner. Seriously, your lungs will thank you. This stuff makes quick work of all the crud.
• Glove Up: Brake cleaner dries your hands out and brake dust is no good for you. Grab some Nitrile Gloves to keep your mitts clean.
• No Squeaks: A wee smear of anti-seize caliper grease on the right spots stops annoying squeaks later on.
Expert's Two Cents
