Rust is a significant concern, especially in the undercarriage, sills, and around the wheel arches. Electrical gremlins are common due to the Lucas electrical system. Carburetion issues can also crop up.
Rust is a primary WOF failure point, especially on the load bearing components. Ensure all lights are functioning properly. Check braking performance. Also check the exhaust system for holes or leaks.
The Jaguar XJ was offered with two potent engine options: a six-cylinder and a legendary V12, allowing owners to choose their desired performance level. Inside, the XJ features a meticulously crafted cabin adorned with high-quality leather and elegant wood trim, ensuring every ride is enveloped in comfort. However, like all vehicles, the XJ requires regular maintenance to keep it performing at its best. Common areas that need attention include the cooling system, which often requires replacement around 150,000km; components like the water pump, thermostat, and radiator hoses should be routinely inspected. This highlights the need for proper monitoring of your vehicle's cooling system, a key aspect of its maintenance, ensuring reliability and performance. This leads to our Cooling Services.
In addition, the braking system, critical for safety, may demand regular service, particularly brake pads and rotors, which should be assessed during service intervals. Our Braking Services ensure that your XJ stays safe on the road. To enhance both performance and longevity, engine filtration must not be overlooked; regular replacement of oil filters and air filters is crucial for optimal function. Our comprehensive Filtration Services are designed to support this need. By addressing these areas, you can enjoy your stunning Jaguar XJ for many years to come.
