Oil Filter Change: Keep Your Engine Sweet as!
> Oil filters are the unsung heroes, especially in cars like the MG ZT, Cadillac Eldorado, and Rover 75. They stop gunk from messing with your engine. Letting it go too long? You're asking for trouble down the line, especially with all that stop-start driving we do in our cities. Best to get it sorted before it costs you a bomb.
Spotting a Dodgy Oil Filter
• Engine's lost its mojo and guzzling more gas.
• That pesky oil pressure light's flicking on.
• Sounds like there's gremlins knocking about in the engine.
• Oil's looking more like mud than oil when you check it.
• Nasty sludge and bits floating in the oil.
WOF Woes?
Nah, a crook oil filter won't fail ya WOF straight up. But if your engine's had it and blowing smoke, you might be in trouble. Keep things shipshape, and you'll be sweet.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates!: Wear safety glasses. Hot oil and grit in the eyes is no fun. Also, use gloves – you don't want to be scrubbing black grease out from under your nails for a week.
• Cleanliness is Key: Have a good quality drip tray handy. Spilled oil on the driveway is a pain to clean up and bad for the environment. Also, old rags are your friend.
• The Right Stuff: Don't skimp on the oil. Use the grade recommended for your car. Check your manual if you're not sure. A good quality oil Engine Flush will also help clean out the system before you add the new oil.
• Lube It Up: Before you screw on the new filter, smear a little fresh oil on the rubber gasket. This helps it seal properly and makes it easier to remove next time.
Bob's Two Cents
Changing your oil filter regularly is a no-brainer for keeping your MG ZT, Cadillac Eldorado, Rover 75, or whatever you're driving, running smoothly. Pop into Bob's Shop, and we'll sort you out with the right bits and bobs!
Important Fitting Notes
Make sure you've got the right filter for your make and model. Check your car's handbook for the right specs and torque settings when you're putting it all back together. And be extra careful with older cars like the Cadillac Eldorado – those old bits can be a bit fragile.
