Description

Oil Filter Change on Your BYD SHARK — RYCO's Got Your Back
> Think of your oil filter as the bouncer at the entrance to your engine. It stops all the grit and grime from getting in and causing trouble. Over time, it gets clogged up, like a drain after you've washed the dishes. This can cause all sorts of dramas, especially in a fancy hybrid Ute like the BYD SHARK where you're relying on both electric and petrol power.

Signs You Might Need a New Filter
• Your SHARK's not feeling as zippy as it used to.
• Scary lights are flashing on the dash.
• The engine's making some weird noises.
• The oil looks like treacle when you check it.
• You're suddenly using more petrol than usual.

WOF Worries?
While a dodgy oil filter won't fail you at WOF time directly, the engine troubles it can cause might. Think smoky exhaust or a racket under the bonnet. Keep your oil and filter fresh, and you'll cruise through your WOF, no worries.

Fitment Notes
This RYCO Z1283 filter is the bee's knees for BYD SHARK 6 plug-in hybrids from 2024 onwards. Double-check your year and engine code to be 100% sure it's the right fit. Hybrid systems can be a bit fussy!
