Description

Give Your Touareg a Clear View: Wiper Blade Wisdom from Bob!
> Let's be real, folks. Wiper blades aren't just bits of rubber; they're your first line of defence against a murky windscreen, especially in New Zealand's famously changeable weather. For a premium ride like your Volkswagen Touareg, you want crystal-clear vision, always. Over time, that relentless Kiwi sun, temperature swings, and road grime turn those soft rubber edges into brittle, ineffective strips. And trust me, you don't want to be caught out in a downpour with a dodgy set!
Symptoms That Led You Here
• Streaking or smearing across the windscreen.
• Chattering or skipping noises during operation.
• Unwiped areas or patches on the glass.
• Reduced visibility during rain or spray.
• Visible cracks, tears, or hardening of the rubber blade.
Will it pass WOF?
No, faulty or ineffective wiper blades will cause your vehicle to fail a Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspection in New Zealand. Clear forward vision is a mandatory safety requirement.
DIY or Workshop?
Difficulty: 2/10 (Easy)
Estimated Time: 10-15 minutes
Tools Required: None, or a small flathead screwdriver for some older clip types.

This specific wiper blade is designed to fit various Volkswagen Touareg models from 2002 to 2018, including V6 FSI, W12, V10 TDI, V6, V6 TDI, V8, R5 TDI, and V8 FSI variants. Always double-check the specific length and attachment type against your vehicle's existing blades to ensure correct fitment, as Touareg models can have different wiper arm configurations depending on the year and region.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Windshield Protection: When the wiper arm is bare, place a folded towel on the windscreen to prevent the spring-loaded metal arm from snapping down and cracking the glass.
• Clear Vision Prep: Clean the windscreen thoroughly with a high-quality Glass Cleaner and microfibre cloth before installing the new blades to remove road film.
• Windscreen Wash: Top up your washer reservoir with a quality windscreen wash additive to keep your screen smear-free.
