• Safety First, Mates!: Brakes are critical. Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper jack stands. Wear safety glasses to keep brake dust out of your eyes, and grab some Nitrile Gloves to keep your hands clean. Brake dust is nasty stuff!
• Cleanliness is Key: Blast those calipers and rotors with Brake Cleaner before you start reassembling. Gets rid of all the old brake dust and grime.
• Protect Your Investment: A bit of anti-seize compound on the caliper bolts will make your life easier next time. Copper grease is your friend here.
• Lube it Up (Where Needed): Use a dab of proper brake caliper grease on the sliding surfaces to keep everything moving smoothly.
