Description

Swapping Out Your Alfa Romeo Giulietta Brake Pads — With RDA
> Your Alfa Romeo Giulietta's brake pads are what slows you down, turning all that go-power into a bit of heat by squeezing against the rotors. Over time, they wear down, especially with those quick stops around town or when you're giving it a bit of stick on the open road. Time for new ones, eh?
What Clued You In?
• Brakes squealing like a stuck pig?
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights?
• Pedal juddering when you hit the brakes?
• Pads looking a bit thin or worse for wear?
WOF Worthy?
Buggered brake pads are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They need to be thick enough to do the job properly. Check the LTSA guidelines to be sure.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get cracking, a few quick pointers to keep you safe and your Alfa Romeo Giulietta happy:
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under your car when it's only held up by a jack. Use proper axle stands – your life's worth it!
• Blast that Brake Dust: Brake cleaner is your best mate here. Give everything a good spray to get rid of that nasty brake dust. Brake Cleaner will sort you out.
• Keep it Clean: Those new pads don't like muck. Keep the rotors clean and free of grease.
• Glove Up: Protect your hands with some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves. Brake dust isn't something you want on your skin.
• Squeak-Free Guarantee: A dab of copper anti-seize on the caliper bolts will keep things moving smoothly and quietly. You'll find it at Bob's Shop.
Expert's Two Cents
New brake pads are a no-brainer for keeping your Alfa Romeo Giulietta safe and sound. Worn ones mean longer stopping distances, and that's just not worth the risk, especially when you're pushing it a bit. RDA pads are a top choice, but we've got plenty of others. Pop in and see Bob; he'll make sure you get the right pads for your Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Sorted!

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Brakes get incredibly dirty. Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from stubborn brake dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use a high-quality Brake Cleaner spray to blast away stubborn dust, oil, and road grime from the caliper assembly and new rotors before reassembly.
• Lubrication: Apply a thin smear of high-temperature caliper grease to the pad backing plates and slide pins (keep it off the pad friction material!) to prevent squeals and ensure smooth caliper operation.
