Description

Sorting Out Your Audi's Disc Brake Rotors – With RDA
> Disc brake rotors are dead important, aye? They're the spinning metal discs your brake pads clamp onto, turning all that go-forward energy into stop-now heat. But tough conditions on our roads, plus all that friction, means they wear down, warp, and generally get a bit sad. Especially on a performance car like your Audi.
What Clued You In?
• Feel a judder through the pedal or steering wheel when you brake?
• Hear squealing, grinding, or just plain awful noises when you hit the brakes?
• Taking longer to stop than you reckon you should?
• Rotors looking scored, grooved, or all colours of the rainbow?
• Smelling something burning after you've given the brakes a good workout?
WOF Worthy?
Nah, mate. If your brake rotors are buggered, you'll fail your WOF faster than you can say 'cafe lunch'. They gotta be above the minimum thickness and free from cracks to keep you safe.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get stuck in, a few quick pointers from yours truly.
• Safety First, Mates!: Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper jack stands – your life's worth more than a few saved minutes.
• Brake Dust Be Gone: Give those new rotors a good blast with Brake Cleaner before you fit them. Gets rid of any manufacturing gunk.
• Glove Up: Brake dust isn't your friend. Grab some Nitrile Gloves to keep your hands clean and protected.
• Caliper Kindness: When reassembling, use a dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper pins. Keeps everything moving smoothly.
Bob's Two Cents
I reckon you should always replace brake rotors when they're looking worse for wear, especially on a fancy European car like an Audi. Braking is one thing you don't wanna skimp on! Pop into Bob's Shop and we'll get your Audi sorted.
Fitment Notes
This RDA rotor (RDA7218) fits a whole bunch of Audis, including the A4 TDI (2006-2008), A4 T (2006-2009), and even the old-school A8 W12 (2003-2010). Just double-check it's the right one for your exact model and year.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
