Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — The RDA Way
> Disc brake rotors are super important for stopping your ALFA ROMEO 33 16V. Over time, they get worn from all the friction, or even warp from the heat, especially tough conditions if you're giving your classic Alfa 33 a hard time. This makes your braking less safe, which is never a good idea.
What Clued You In?
• Brakes sound like they're singing a squeaky or grinding tune?
• Brake pedal's doing the jitterbug?
• Taking longer than usual to pull up?
• Rotors looking a bit rough — scoring, cracks, or rust?
• Brake pads wearing unevenly?
WOF Worries?
Dodgy brake rotors are a no-brainer for failing a WOF in New Zealand. Your rotors need to be up to scratch on thickness and without any major damage to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under your Alfa supported only by a jack. Use proper jack stands. Safety glasses are a must to keep the brake dust out of your eyes.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust clings to everything. Use plenty of Brake Cleaner to blast the muck off calipers and new rotors. It'll stop the squealing, too.
• Glove Up: Brake cleaner and old brake fluid aren't friendly on the skin. Grab some Nitrile Gloves to keep your hands clean and protected.
• Grease is the Word: Use a dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper slide pins.
