Swapping Out Your Alfa Romeo GTV Brake Rotors — With RDA
> Brake rotors are absolutely vital for your Alfa Romeo GTV's braking. They're the surface your brake pads grip to slow you down. Over time, they wear out, warp, or even crack, especially if you're giving that Alfa a bit of stick on the open road. Time for a change, bro.
Spotting Trouble: Is It Time for New Rotors?
• Brakes sound like a flock of seagulls (squealing)
• Grinding noises that make you cringe
• The brake pedal's doing the Macarena (vibrating like crazy)
• Taking longer to pull up than you'd like
• Rotors look like they've been through a warzone (scoring, cracks, major rust)
Will it pass WOF?
Worn brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. Make sure your rotors are thick enough and free from cracks to pass the test—otherwise, it's a no-go.
DIY or Workshop?

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates: Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper jack stands. Safety glasses are a must to keep the brake dust out of your peepers. And grab some Nitrile Gloves – brake dust is a bugger to get off your hands.
• Cleanliness is Key: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast away all that carbon dust from the rotors and calipers before you start wrenching.
• Don't Forget the Grease: When reassembling, use a dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper pins and brake pad contact points. This will keep everything moving smoothly and prevent squealing. It's cheap insurance.

Fitment Notes
Double-check these rotors fit your specific Alfa Romeo GTV – we're talking model year (1996-2000 for V6 24V, 1995-2005 for T.SPARK 16V) and engine type. Make sure the rotor dimensions match up, too.

• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
