Disc Brake Rotor Replacement: Get Your Toyota Braking Like New! — With RDA
> Your car's disc brake rotors are prime for keeping your vehicle safe. Like a good pair of gumboots, they wear out over time. This means your braking might not be as sharp as it used to be, especially if you're zipping around in a Toyota Starlet or Cynos.
Is it Time for New Rotors? Here's What to Look For:
• Squealing like a pig when you hit the brakes
• A juddering brake pedal that's giving you the shakes
• Taking longer to stop than you reckon you should
• Rotors that look like they've been through the wringer
• Brake pads wearing unevenly – that's a dead giveaway
WOF Woes? Don't Sweat It!
Worn-out brake rotors are a surefire way to fail a WOF here in New Zealand. Your rotors need to be up to scratch in thickness and free from cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car that's only supported by a jack. Axle stands are non-negotiable. Nitrile Gloves will keep your hands clean.
• Brake Dust Be Gone: Brake cleaner is your best mate for blasting away that nasty brake dust. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner before you start.
• Keep Things Slippery: A wee bit of anti-seize caliper grease on the right spots makes everything go back together sweet as. It will stop things seizing up later, too.
• Eyes Wide Open: Safety glasses are a must. Protect your peepers from flying grime.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
