Gotta keep those brakes sharp, eh? Disc brake rotors are key for safe stopping in your Holden Barina or Suzuki Swift. They're what the brake pads grab onto.

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — Featuring RDA
> Disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit for your car's braking. Over time, they take a beating from the brake pads, which means your braking might not be as good as it should be. You might hear some interesting noises or feel vibrations, especially if you're cruising around in a Holden Barina or Suzuki Swift.
Warning Signs It's Time for New Rotors
• Brakes squealing like a stuck pig or grinding away.
• Feeling a judder through the brake pedal.
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights.
• Seeing some pretty nasty scoring or rust on the rotor.
• Brake pads wearing unevenly – that's not ideal.
WOF Woes?
Worn or rooted disc brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They need to be within the minimum thickness and not too far gone to pass the test.

Before you dive in, grab these essentials to make the job safer and easier:
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper axle stands – it's a no-brainer.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Give those new rotors a good blast with some Brake Cleaner before you fit them. It'll help your brakes bed in properly.
• Glove Up: Protect your hands with some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves. Keeps the grime off and prevents cuts.
• Eye Protection: Safety glasses are a must. You don't want brake dust or debris in your eyes.
• Anti-Seize: A wee dab of anti-seize on the caliper bolts will make life easier next time you're in there.

• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
