Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — RDA for the Win!
> Disc brake rotors, eh? They're what your brake pads clamp onto to bring you to a halt. Over time, especially with all that stop-start driving around town in your Mitsubishi Lancer or Libero, they can wear down, warp, or get all scored up. That's when your braking goes to custard.
What Clued Ya In?
• Feel that shudder through the brake pedal or steering wheel when you brake?
• Hear any squealing, grinding, or scraping noises?
• Taking longer to pull up than usual?
• See any nasty grooves or discolouration on the rotor?
• Catch a whiff of something burning after a hard stop?
WOF Worthy?
Nah, mate. Dodgy brake rotors are a no-no for your WOF. They reckon your rotors have to be a certain thickness and free from cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking on those brakes, let's make sure you're set up for success and staying safe, eh?
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Get yourself some proper Jack Stands. They are cheap insurance.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast away the muck and keep things sparkling. Makes the job easier, too!
• Glove Up: Protect your mitts with some Nitrile Gloves. Keeps the grease and grime off your skin, and makes cleanup a breeze.
• Lube It Right: A little Anti-Seize Grease on the caliper bolts will make life easier next time you're in there. Trust me on this one.
• Eye Protection: Safety glasses are a no-brainer. Keep the brake dust and grime out of your peepers.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
