Description

Rotor Replacement for Your Holden — With RDA
> Disc brake rotors are dead important for havin' good brakes on your Holden Monaro or H Series. Over time, they wear down from the pads rubbin' on 'em. This means you won't stop as quick and things can get a bit hairy, especially in older cars.

Reckon Your Rotors Are Shot?
• Hearin' squeals or grindin' when ya brake?
• Brake pedal feels like it's vibratin' or pulsatin'?
• Takin' longer to pull up at the lights?
• Can see grooves or damage on the rotor?
• Pads wearin' unevenly?

Will it pass WOF?
Buggered rotors are a quick way to fail a WOF here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and not cracked or scored to get the tick.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get stuck in, let's make sure we're doing this right, eh? Safety first, always!
• Safety Glasses: Keep those peepers safe from flying dust and debris. Trust me, you don't want any of that in your eyes. Safety Glasses
• Nitrile Gloves: Keep your hands clean and protected from brake dust and grease. Brake dust isn't something you want soaking into your skin, mate. Nitrile Gloves
• Brake Cleaner: This stuff is gold for blasting away brake dust and grime. Spray it on the rotors and calipers before you start pulling things apart. Makes the job a whole lot cleaner. Brake Cleaner
• Caliper Grease: When you're reassembling the brakes, a bit of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper pins will keep everything moving smoothly and prevent sticking. Caliper Grease

Bob's Two Cents
Worn rotors are a no-brainer when it comes to safety. Get 'em sorted and you'll have way more confidence behind the wheel of your classic Holden. RDA's a decent choice, but we've got plenty of others. Pop into Bob's Shop and we'll get you sorted with the right parts!

Fitment Notes
Make sure they fit your Holden's year and model. Early Holdens might have different rotors. Always do both sides at once for even braking.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
