Description

Ford F-250 Disc Brake Rotor Replacement: Get it Sorted with RDA
> Your Ford F-250's brakes are its most important safety feature, and the rotors are a key part of that. Over time, they cop a beating from friction and heat, especially when you're hauling heavy loads. Don't let warped or grooved rotors compromise your braking!

Spotting the Signs of Worn Rotors
• Screeching like a rusty gate when you hit the brakes
• The steering wheel doing the haka under braking
• Taking longer than a cafe lunch break to stop
• Rotors looking like they've been attacked by a grinder

Will it pass WOF?
Buggered rotors are a surefire way to fail a WOF. They need to be above the minimum thickness and free from serious cracks to pass the test.

DIY or Workshop?
Difficulty: 6/10

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking on those brakes, a few things to keep in mind. Safety first, always! Never, ever get under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Use proper stands, or you'll be gutted if something goes wrong. Grab some Nitrile Gloves to keep your hands clean from brake dust, which is nasty stuff. A can of Brake Cleaner is your best mate for blasting away that dust and grime. And don't forget safety glasses – you only get one set of eyes, so protect them! A bit of anti-seize on the caliper bolts will make your life easier next time around.

Expert Recommendation
Worn brake rotors are a serious safety risk, especially on a heavy-duty truck like your F-250. Replacing them keeps your braking sharp and prevents accidents. I'm always here to help you choose the right parts for your Ford F-250. Head over to Bob's Shop for a yarn!

Fitment Notes
Make sure the new rotors are the right fit for your F-250's year (1973-1988). Some models have different rotor sizes. Always replace rotors in pairs (both sides) for even braking.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
