Holden H Series Disc Brake Rotor Replacement Guide — Featuring RDA
> Your Holden H Series' disc brake rotors are a pretty vital piece of the puzzle when it comes to stopping safely. Over time, they wear down from all the friction and heat, which means your braking might not be as sharp as it used to be. Especially in an older car, you want to make sure these are up to scratch!
Signs It's Time for New Rotors
• Squealing like a pig or a nasty grinding noise when you hit the brakes
• Feeling a judder or wobble through the brake pedal
• Taking way longer to stop than you reckon you should
• Seeing scoring, rust, or other damage on the rotor itself
• Your brake pads are wearing unevenly
Will it pass WOF?
Worn or rooted disc brake rotors are a dead cert to fail a WOF here in New Zealand. Your rotors need to be within the minimum thickness and in good nick to pass the test.

• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
