Description

Spark Plug Sorted! A Kiwi Guide (feat. NGK)
> Spark plugs are the unsung heroes in your petrol engine, lighting up the fuel like a Kiwi BBQ on a summer's day. Over time, they get a bit tired from all the heat and gunk, leading to a rough ride and less oomph in your Volvo XC60 or S60.
Spotting the Warning Signs
• Engine idling like it's got the hiccups or just plain conked out?
• Fuel gauge dropping faster than a bungee jumper?
• Engine misfiring, especially when you put your foot down?
• Struggling to get the engine going in the mornings?
• That pesky 'check engine' light glaring at you?
WOF Woes?
Dodgy spark plugs can mean your car's emissions go haywire, and that's a surefire way to fail your WOF. No one wants that cafe lunch money going on re-tests!
DIY or Calling in the Pros?

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, a few quick things to keep you safe and your engine bay sparkling:
• Safety First, Mates! Engines get hot! Make sure the car is cool before you start poking around. And disconnect the battery – just in case. Also, wear safety glasses – no one wants bits of carbon in their eyes!
• Keep it Clean: Before you pull out the old plugs, give the area around them a good blast with some Brake Cleaner. This stops any crud from falling into the cylinders.
• Protect Your Hands: Get yourself some Nitrile Gloves. Spark plugs can be oily and grimy.
• The Right Gap: Double-check the spark plug gap before you install them. Too big or too small, and your engine won't run right. Use a spark plug gap tool to get it spot on.

Fitment Notes
Make sure that spark plug gap is spot on before you screw it in. Your car's manual will tell you exactly what gap you need. Some Volvo models are a bit fussy about their spark plugs, so double-check they're the right ones before you buy.

> If you're replacing this spark plug, make sure you've got the right workshop prep, protection, and safety gear ready. Taking a bit of extra time and using the proper safety stands and cleaners makes all the difference for a professional result!

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
