Description

Brake Pad Replacement: The TRW Way
> Brake pads: they're what stops you from ending up in a ditch! They wear down over time, so regular checks are crucial, especially on heavier vehicles like the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid and Infiniti G35. Keep those brakes sharp, eh?

Symptoms That Led You Here
• Squealing like a pig when you brake?
• Brakes feel a bit soft or spongy?
• Seeing some serious wear and tear on the pads?
• Brake warning light's lit up like a Christmas tree?
• Slowing down feels more like suggesting you slow down?

Will it pass WOF?
Dodgy brakes are a surefire WOF fail. Make sure your pads are thick enough to pass the test, otherwise, you'll be walking! Get it sorted before your WOF check.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get cracking, a few must-dos. Safety first, always! Grab some safety glasses to keep the crud out of your eyes, and a pair of nitrile gloves to keep your mitts clean – brake dust is nasty stuff.

While you're at it, grab a can of brake cleaner to blast away all that carbon dust – makes the job heaps easier and keeps everything sweet. And don't forget a bit of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper bolts – makes life easier next time you're in there.

Important: Never, ever get under a car that's only supported by a jack. Use proper jack stands – your life's worth more than a cafe lunch!

Expert Recommendation
Replacing those brake pads is a no-brainer for safe driving. Worn pads mean longer stopping distances, especially in those heavier vehicles. Pop into Bob's Shop; I'll help you find the right pads for your ride!

Fitment Notes
Make sure those pads fit your specific model and caliper type. Some need different shapes or sizes. Always do both sides of the axle to keep braking even. And give those rotors a good look – replace them if they're worn or damaged.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Brakes get incredibly dirty. Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from stubborn brake dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use a high-quality Brake Cleaner spray to blast away stubborn dust, oil, and road grime from the caliper assembly and new rotors before reassembly.
• Lubrication: Apply a thin smear of high-temperature caliper grease to the pad backing plates and slide pins (keep it off the pad friction material!) to prevent squeals and ensure smooth caliper operation.
