Description

Swapping Out Your Brake Pads — TRW Edition
> Brake pads are the unsung heroes that clamp down on your brake discs, turning 'uh-oh' energy into 'whew' stops. They wear out over time, especially in family cars and vans like the Citroen Berlingo or Peugeot Partner doing the school run or the work grind.
Uh-Oh Signs It's Time for a Change
• Brakes screamin' like a banshee, grindin', or makin' scary metal-on-metal noises.
• Braking feels weak as, or the pedal's gone all spongy.
• Steering wheel or brake pedal shakin' like a dog tryin' to pass a peach stone when you brake.
• Pads look thinner than a cafe lunch (less than 3mm).
• That pesky brake warning light's glowin' on the dash.
WOF Worthy?
Nope. Dodgy brake pads are a WOF fail, plain and simple. They need enough meat left and to work sweet as without makin' a racket or pullin' to one side.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get stuck in, mate, safety first! Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper jack stands – your life's worth more than a few bucks. Grab some Brake Cleaner to blast off that nasty brake dust – it's evil stuff. A bit of anti-seize caliper grease will keep things smooth for next time. And don't forget safety glasses and Nitrile Gloves – keep the muck off your hands!
Bob's Two Cents
I reckon you should always swap out brake pads when they're lookin' tired to keep your stopping power spot on and everyone safe as houses. Neglect 'em, and you'll end up wrecking your discs, takin' longer to stop, and maybe even crashin'. TRW pads are a top choice – known for quality and lastin' the distance, perfect for Euro motors. Pop into Bob's Shop, and we'll sort you out with the right bits for your Citroen or Peugeot. Sweet as!
Nitty Gritty
These pads are made for the front of a bunch of Citroens and Peugeots, like the Citroen DS4 VTi 120 (2011-2015), Citroen C4 Grand Picasso i 16V (2006-2010), Peugeot Partner Tepee VTi (2009-2016), and those Berlingo and Partner vans from '08 on. Always double-check your exact model and year against the list, 'cause things can change even within the same model range.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Brakes get incredibly dirty. Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from stubborn brake dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use a high-quality Brake Cleaner spray to blast away stubborn dust, oil, and road grime from the caliper assembly and new rotors before reassembly.
• Lubrication: Apply a thin smear of high-temperature caliper grease to the pad backing plates and slide pins (keep it off the pad friction material!) to prevent squeals and ensure smooth caliper operation.
