🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, a little prep goes a long way. Grab some Brake Cleaner to blast away any carbon buildup around the spark plug wells – keeps things clean and prevents muck from falling into the cylinders. A smear of anti-seize compound on the new plug threads is a no-brainer, making the next change a breeze. Don't forget your Safety Glasses to keep the grit out of your eyes, and a pair of Nitrile Gloves will save your hands from getting covered in grime. Trust me, your cafe lunch will taste better afterwards!
Expert's Two Cents
Swapping out your spark plugs keeps your engine humming and saves you money on fuel. A tired spark plug means incomplete combustion, wasting petrol and potentially buggering up your engine. Bob @ CARFIX is always keen for a yarn and can sort you out with the right bits for your Audi A3.
Fitment Notes
Make sure that gap on the spark plug is spot-on for your engine. Your car's manual will have the exact measurement. And be gentle when you're tightening them up – stripping the threads in the cylinder head is a real pain. Some of those listed motors need special tools to get to the spark plugs, due to the way the engine's shoe-horned in there. Head into Bob's Shop and we'll get you sorted!
