Description

Give Your Windscreen the WOF-Worthy Wipe It Deserves — Featuring TRICO
> Let's be honest, nothing's worse than trying to navigate a Kiwi downpour through a streaky windscreen. Your wiper blades are the unsung heroes of visibility, working overtime to keep your view clear of rain, road spray, and whatever else the New Zealand weather throws at you. But just like anything, they wear out, especially when battling our harsh sun and sudden deluges. If your Mercedes-Benz A-Class or Volvo XC70 is starting to look like it's crying blurry tears, it's probably time for a fresh set.
Symptoms That Led You Here
• Streaks or smears left on the windscreen after wiping
• Squeaking, chattering, or skipping across the glass
• Unwiped sections or poor contact with the windscreen
• Reduced visibility during rain or spray
• Cracked, torn, or hardened rubber on the blade element
Will it pass WOF?
Yes, faulty or ineffective wiper blades will result in a Warrant of Fitness (WOF) failure in New Zealand, as they directly impair driver visibility and safety.
DIY or Workshop?
Difficulty: 2/10 (Easy)
Estimated Time: 5-10 minutes per blade
Tools Required: None (or a small flathead screwdriver for some older designs to release clips).
Expert Recommendation

Always double-check the specific fitment for your exact make, model, and year to ensure compatibility, as variations can occur even within the same model range.

🛠️ Bob's Pro Tip: Do the Job Right!

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Windshield Protection: When the wiper arm is bare, place a folded towel on the windscreen to prevent the spring-loaded metal arm from snapping down and cracking the glass.
• Clear Vision Prep: Clean the windscreen thoroughly with a high-quality Glass Cleaner and microfibre cloth before installing the new blades to remove road film.
• Windscreen Wash: Top up your washer reservoir with a quality windscreen wash additive to keep your screen smear-free.
