Toyota Corolla Disc Brake Rotor Replacement — TRW Edition
> Your Toyota Corolla's brake rotors are what stop you, plain and simple. They wear down over time from all that friction, warp from the heat, and rust up something chronic, especially on older models. This guide's gonna help you sort it.
Spotting the Trouble - Rotor Warning Signs
• Brakes sound like a pack of seagulls fighting over a chip? (Squealing or grinding)
• Your brake pedal's doing the Macarena? (Vibration or pulsation)
• Braking feels about as effective as yelling "stop"? (Reduced responsiveness)
• Rotors look like they've been attacked by a grinder, covered in rust, or generally buggered?
WOF Woes?
Dodgy brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and not too wrecked to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you even think about cracking those wheel nuts, mate, safety first!
• Safety Glasses: Protect your peepers from brake dust and flying debris. No one wants a trip to the eye doctor.
• Nitrile Gloves: Keep your hands clean and away from brake dust. Trust me, you don't want that stuff on your skin. Grab some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves.
• Brake Cleaner: This stuff's gold for blasting away all the carbon dust and grime. Makes everything cleaner and easier to work on. A can of Brake Cleaner is a must.
• Caliper Grease: A little dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper pins will ensure smooth movement and prevent sticking.
And one last thing, never, ever get under a car that's only supported by a jack. Use proper jack stands; your life's worth more than a cafe lunch!
