Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — TRW Style
> Disc brake rotors are crucial for your Ford Falcon's stopping power. They team up with the brake pads to bring you to a halt. Over time, especially with tough conditions, they can wear, warp, or even crack. Falcons and Fairmonts often take a beating, so keep an eye on these!
Uh Oh... Sounds Like You've Got These Symptoms:
• Your brake pedal's doing the Macarena (vibrating like crazy).
• Squealing or grinding when you hit the brakes.
• Taking forever to stop.
• Rotors look like they've been through a war zone (cracked or deeply grooved).
• Your brake pads are wearing unevenly.
WOF Woes?
Worn rotors are a quick way to fail a WOF here in NZ. They need to be above the minimum thickness and free from cracks to pass the test. No one wants to be gutted by a WOF failure.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under your Falcon supported *only* by a jack. Use proper jack stands. Safety glasses are a no-brainer to keep brake dust out of your eyes.
• Cleanliness is Key: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab some Brake Cleaner to blast it away. It'll also help your new rotors bed in properly.
• Glove Up: Keep your hands clean and protected with Nitrile Gloves. Brake cleaner will strip the oils from your skin.
• Lube It Right: A little dab of caliper grease on the brake pad shims prevents annoying squeals and ensures everything moves smoothly.

Fitment Notes
Double-check this rotor fits your exact Falcon or Fairmont model and year. Rotor sizes can vary. Always swap rotors in pairs for even braking. It's just good practice.

• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
