Gotta stop those Ford Fairmont and Falcon beasts safely, right? Disc brake rotors are where the brake pads do their thing.

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — TRW Style
> Your Ford Fairmont or Falcon's brake rotors are proper important. They cop a hammering from friction, heat, and all the grit on the road. This can make your braking a bit average and, let's be honest, a bit dodgy, especially when you're giving it heaps or tackling some tough conditions.
What Clued You In?
• Brakes sound like a choir of squealing cats?
• Pedal's doing the Macarena?
• Taking longer to pull up than a cafe lunch?
• Rotors look like they've been through a war?
• Brake pads wearing unevenly, eh?
WOF Woes?
Worn rotors are a classic WOF fail here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and not too buggered to pass the test, mate.
DIY or Get a Pro?
Skill Level: 6/10 (Tricky but doable)
Time Needed: Give yourself 2-3 hours per axle
Gear You'll Need: Jack and stands (safety first!), wheel wrench, socket set, torque wrench, brake cleaner. Might need a caliper tool too.
🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates!: Never, ever get under your Falcon supported only by a jack. Use proper stands; your life's worth more than a rotor change. And chuck on some Safety Glasses – no one wants metal shards in their peepers.
• Cleanliness is King: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab some Brake Cleaner to blast it off the calipers and new rotors. Keeps everything sweet and the brakes working as they should.
• Protection is Paramount: Those calipers can be stubborn.
• Lube 'Em Right: A smear of anti-seize on the caliper slide pins ensures everything moves freely. Stops those annoying squeals and premature wear.
• Glove Up: Keep your mitts clean with some Nitrile Gloves. Brake dust and grease are not your skin's best friends.

Fitment Notes
Double-check these rotors fit your exact Ford model and year. Rotor sizes can vary. Always do both sides at once for balanced braking, yeah?

• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
