Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — TRW Style
> Your Mercedes-Benz A-Class or B-Class relies on its disc brake rotors to bring you to a halt. Over time, they suffer wear and tear from friction, heat, and all the grit the road throws at them. This can make your braking less effective, which nobody wants.
Is It Time for New Rotors?
• Brakes sound like a strangled cat (squealing or grinding)
• Brake pedal's doing the Macarena (vibrating or pulsating)
• Taking longer to stop than you'd like
• Rotors look like they've been through a war (scoring, rust, or other damage)
• Brake pads are wearing unevenly
WOF Woes?
Yep, dodgy disc brake rotors are a quick way to fail a WOF here in NZ. They need to be thick enough and in good nick to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, mate, safety first! Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper stands, eh? Grab some safety glasses to keep the crud out of your eyes and a decent pair of nitrile gloves to keep the hands clean. Now, when you've pulled the old rotors off, give everything a good blast with some Brake Cleaner to get rid of all that nasty brake dust. Smear a touch of anti-seize caliper grease on any contact points and you'll be sorted for years.
Bob's Two Cents
If your Mercedes-Benz isn't stopping like it should, don't muck around. New rotors will sort you out. Pop into Bob's Shop, and we'll get you sorted with the right parts for your Mercedes-Benz. Sweet as!
Fitment Notes
Make sure the new rotor is the right one for your Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class or CLA – check the model and year. Some rotors are different for the left and right sides, so double-check that too.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
