Disc Brake Rotor Replacement Guide — With TRW
> Disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit for stopping your Land Cruiser Prado, Fortuner, or similar 4x4 safely. They're what the brake pads grab onto. Over time, rotors can wear out, warp, or even crack, especially if you're giving them a hard time off-road or doing a lot of heavy braking.
Symptoms That Led You Here
• Brake pedal feels like it's vibrating or pulsing
• Brakes are making a heck of a racket
• Taking longer to stop than usual
• Rotors look like they've seen better days (cracks or grooves)
• Brake pads wearing unevenly
Will it pass WOF?
Worn brake rotors are a surefire way to fail a WOF here in New Zealand. They need to be within a certain thickness and free from cracks to pass the test.
