Description

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — The TRW Way
> Your disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit. They wear down over time, especially if you're ragging your Citroen DS 3 or Peugeot 207 around town and country. Wear and tear means less stopping power, and that's never a good idea, mate.

Spotting the Trouble - Is It Time for New Rotors?
• Hear any squealing or grinding when you hit the brakes?
• Feel a wobble or pulsing through the pedal?
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights?
• See any nasty grooves or damage on the rotor surface?
• Are your brake pads wearing unevenly?

Will it pass WOF?
Buggered rotors are a quick way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They have to be above a certain thickness and in good nick to pass the test. No one wants to be caught out with a pink sticker.

DIY or Workshop?

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, a quick yarn about doing the job safely and tidily. Brakes are important, right?
• Safety First, Mates!: Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper axle stands – your life's worth it. And those brake pads and rotors will have a lot of brake dust, so it's important to use Nitrile Gloves and Safety Glasses to keep yourself safe.
• Cleanliness is King: Brake dust gets everywhere and is a pain to clean. Have some rags handy to wipe down parts as you go. A clean workspace is a happy workspace.
• Protect Your Pride and Joy: Use some old blankets or cardboard to protect your paintwork from accidental scratches. You'll thank yourself later.
• The Right Consumables: A can of Brake Cleaner is your best mate for blasting away brake dust and grime. Also, a wee dab of anti-seize grease on the caliper bolts will make life easier next time.

Expert Recommendation
Worn rotors are a no-go for the safety and performance of your Citroen DS 3 or Peugeot 207. Swapping them out keeps you stopping sweet and stops other brake bits from getting damaged. Fitment Notes
Double-check these rotors fit your exact Citroen or Peugeot model and year. Rotor sizes and setups can be different. Always do both sides on the same axle to keep your braking even.

Bob's Tip: Remember to bed in your new brakes properly after fitting. A few gentle stops will do the trick to get them performing at their best. Happy motoring!

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
