Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — TRW Edition
> Those disc brake rotors on your Nissan March or Figaro take a hammering, day in, day out. Over time, they wear down, and that means your braking isn't as sharp as it should be, especially in the cut and thrust of city driving. Time for a change, eh?
What Clued You In?
• Brakes squealing like stuck pigs?
• Brake pedal doing the Macarena?
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights?
• Rotors looking rough as guts?
• Brake pads wearing unevenly?
WOF Woes?
Dodgy disc brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in New Zealand. They need to be above minimum thickness and free from major damage to pass the test. No one wants that, right?

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get cracking on those brakes, let's make sure you're sorted:
• Safety First, Mates! Never EVER get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper axle stands – it's a no-brainer.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast away the muck. Makes the job easier too.
• Hand Protection: Those rotors can be rough on the mitts. A decent set of Nitrile Gloves will keep your hands clean and protected.
• Copper Anti-Seize: Smear a little copper anti-seize on the back of the brake pads to stop squealing.
• Eye Protection: Safety Glasses will protect your eyes from brake dust and debris.

• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
