Description

Swapping Out Yer Disc Brake Rotors — with DBA
> Disc brake rotors are a critical part of your Nissan March's stoppers. Over time, they get worn down from all the friction and heat, especially if you're always zipping around town. This can make your braking a bit dodgy, so it's best to get it sorted.

What Clued You In?
• Squealing like a stuck pig when you brake
• Feeling a judder in the brake pedal
• Taking longer to pull up than you used to
• Seeing scoring, rust, or other nasties on the rotor

Will it pass WOF?
Worn or damaged disc brake rotors are a quick way to fail yer WOF here in NZ. The rotors need to be thick enough and in good nick to pass the test.

Before you get cracking, mate, safety first! Grab some safety glasses to keep the crud out of your eyes, and a pair of nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean. Brake dust is nasty stuff! Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner to get rid of the carbon dust. When reassembling, use a dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the bolts.

• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
