Ford Falcon Disc Brake Rotor Replacement: The Full Monty
> Your Ford Falcon's brake rotors are the unsung heroes of stopping. They're what your brake pads squeeze against to bring you to a halt. Over time, especially if you drive it hard like a proper XR6 Turbo, they can wear out, warp, or even crack. Don't get caught out with dodgy brakes!
What Clued You In?
• Your brake pedal's doing the Macarena (vibrating).
• The brakes are squealing like a gutted possum.
• Taking longer to stop than a freight train.
• Rotors looking more like corrugated iron than smooth metal.
WOF Woes?
Worn brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF. They need to be above the minimum thickness and free from cracks to pass the test. No one wants to deal with that, right?

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, a quick yarn about safety and the right gear. Brakes are kinda important, so let's do it properly:
• Safety First, Mates: Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper axle stands – your life's worth more than a cafe lunch. And chuck on some safety glasses to keep the brake dust out of your peepers.
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast it off the rotors and calipers. Makes the job easier and keeps things tidy.
• Glove Up: Protect your hands with some Nitrile Gloves. Brake cleaner and old brake fluid aren't exactly kind to your skin.
• Grease is the Word: A little anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper pins will keep things moving smoothly and prevent future headaches.
Pro Tip
Worn rotors are a safety hazard. Replacing them keeps you safe and stops other brake bits from wearing out too fast. Bob @ CARFIX is your man for finding the perfect rotor for your Falcon. Pop into Bob's Shop for a yarn!
Important Fitment Stuff
Make sure those new rotors fit your Falcon like a glove. Check the model, year, and whether you've got standard or fancy brakes. Rotor size matters!
