Description

Nissan 350Z & Skyline Disc Brake Rotor Replacement — With DBA!
> Your Nissan's brake rotors are what the brake pads grab onto to slow you down. Over time, they can wear thin, warp from the heat, or get rusty. This means your braking won't be as good, and that's not ideal, especially when you're giving it the beans in a 350Z or Skyline.
Spotting the Warning Signs
• That brake pedal's doing the shimmy – vibration or pulsation
• Brakes are squealing like stuck pigs or making a grinding noise
• Taking longer to pull up than you'd like
• Rotors are looking a bit rough – scoring, cracks, or rust
WOF Woes?
Dodgy brake rotors are a surefire way to fail a WOF here in NZ. They need to be thick enough and in good nick to pass the test.
DIY or Get a Pro?
Difficulty: 6/10
Time Needed: 2-3 hours per axle
Gear You'll Need: Jack and stands (never get under a car supported only by a jack!), wheel brace, socket set, torque wrench, brake cleaner, and some new brake pads (good idea to do them at the same time).
🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you dive in, grab these must-haves to make the job safer and easier:
• Safety First: Chuck on some Safety Glasses to keep the brake dust out of your eyes. Trust me, you don't want that!
• Glove Up: Protect your hands with a decent pair of Nitrile Gloves. Brake dust is a pain to get off.
• Clean Sweep: Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast away all that nasty carbon dust from the calipers and new rotors. Makes for a much cleaner job!
• Grease is the Word: A wee dab of anti-seize Caliper Grease on the caliper bolts will make life easier next time you're in there.

Bob's Two Cents
If your Nissan's rotors are past their prime, don't muck around. Get them sorted for better braking and peace of mind. Come on down to Bob's Shop at CARFIX, and we'll get you sorted with the right parts!
Fitment Notes
Double-check that the new rotors are the right fit for your specific Nissan 350Z or Skyline model. Rotor sizes and bolt patterns can vary.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
