Description

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — DBA Style
> Your disc brake rotors are dead important. They wear down over time from all the friction, especially if you're giving it heaps in something like an Audi TT or a Skoda Superb. Worn rotors mean dodgy braking and could be a real safety issue.

What Clued You In?
• Brakes sound like a pack of seagulls arguing?
• Steering wheel doing the Macarena when you brake?
• Taking longer to pull up than a cafe lunch?
• Rotors looking like they've been attacked by a grinder?
• Brake pads wearing unevenly, eh?

WOF Worries?
Dodgy brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and free from cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Grab some safety glasses to keep the brake dust out of your peepers and some nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean. Brake dust is nasty stuff.
• Cleanliness is Key: Before you even think about slapping on those new rotors, give the area a good blast with some Brake Cleaner. Gets rid of all the old brake dust and grime. Makes everything work better, too.
• Protect Your Investment: A little smear of anti-seize caliper grease on the right spots will stop things seizing up later. Trust me, you'll thank me for this one.
