Swapping Out Your Audi's Brake Rotors — DBA Style
> Brake rotors are properly important for keeping your Audi A4 or S4 pulling up square. They get hammered by the brake pads, and after enough cafe lunches, they'll start to wear. That means longer stopping distances and nobody wants that, especially in tough conditions.
Spotting the Warning Signs
• Brakes squealing like a stuck pig?
• Feeling a judder in the pedal when you brake?
• Taking longer to pull up than usual?
• Rotors looking scored, cracked, or rusty?
• Pads wearing unevenly?
WOF Worries?
Dodgy brake rotors are a surefire way to fail a WOF here in New Zealand. They need to be above minimum thickness and in good nick to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you start pulling things apart, safety first, eh? Grab some safety glasses to keep the crud out of your eyes, and a pair of nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean. Brake dust is nasty stuff, so don't muck around. Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner to get rid of brake dust and grime. A little bit of anti-seize on the caliper bolts never hurts either, makes life easier next time you're in there!
Expert's Advice
Worn rotors mean less safe braking. Replacing them keeps you safe and stops other brake bits from getting damaged. Bob @ CARFIX is always ready to help you find the right parts for your Audi. Pop into Bob's Shop for a yarn!
Fitment Notes
Double-check it fits your exact Audi A4 or S4 year (2003-2008) and model. Rotor size matters, so make sure it matches what you've got. Some models have different sizes depending on the factory options.

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
