Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — The DBA Way
> Disc brake rotors are dead important for your Hyundai Veloster or Kia Cerato. They're what your brake pads clamp onto to slow you down. Over time, they get worn, warped, or even a bit busted, which means your braking won't be as sharp, especially when you're giving it a bit of stick.
What Clued You In?
• Your brake pedal's doing the Macarena (pulsating or vibrating)
• Sounds like a choir of mice when you hit the brakes
• Taking longer to pull up than a cafe lunch queue
• Rotors look like they've been through a war zone
• Your brake pads are wearing unevenly – suss!
WOF Worthy?
Dodgy disc brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in NZ. They've gotta be within the minimum thickness and free from cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, mate, a bit of prep goes a long way. Safety first! Always use proper jack stands – never get under a car supported only by a jack. Give your hands some love with Nitrile Gloves to keep the grease off. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast away all that nasty brake dust – it's not something you want to be breathing in. And those brake parts love to rust up, so definitely have some anti-seize caliper grease on hand to keep things moving smoothly for the next time you're in there. Don't forget your Safety Glasses, better safe than sorry!

Important Bits:
• Make sure those new rotors are the right fit for your Hyundai or Kia.
• Always swap out rotors in pairs (both sides) for even braking.
• Good idea to chuck in new brake pads at the same time to make sure everything beds in nicely. Check your pad compounds!
• Give those new rotors a good clean with brake cleaner before you fit them.
