DBA Brakes · Part number DBA274S · NZ$285.00 incl. GST
Gotta stop safely, eh? Disc brake rotors are what give your brake pads the surface they need to slow you down, especially in motors like Peugeot 405 and Citroen Xsara.

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — DBA Style
> Disc brake rotors are dead important for good stopping power. Over time, they cop a beating from friction and heat, especially on vans like the Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo that are always on the go. If they're warped or worn, you're not stopping as well as you should, and that's just not safe.
What Clued You In?
• Brakes screeches or sounds like grinding metal. Not ideal, eh?
• The brake pedal's doing the shimmy on ya?
• Takes longer to pull up at the lights?
• Rotors look like they've been through the wringer.
WOF Worthy?
Buggered rotors are a quick way to fail a WOF here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and no cracks or anything nasty to pass the test.

Difficulty: 6/10
Time it'll take: Give yourself 2-3 hours per axle
What you'll need: Jack and stands (never get under a car supported only by a jack!), wheel wrench, socket set, torque wrench, brake cleaner, and new brake pads (good idea to replace 'em together).
🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, mate, safety first! Grab some safety glasses to keep the crud out of your peepers and nitrile gloves to keep those mitts clean. Brake dust is nasty stuff. Give everything a good blast with Brake Cleaner to get rid of the muck before you start pulling things apart. When you're putting the new rotors on, a wee bit of anti-seize caliper grease on the bolts will make life easier next time around.
Bob's Two Cents
Dodgy brake rotors mean dodgy stopping. Get 'em sorted for peace of mind, especially if you're carting the family around or using your vehicle for work. DBA's a top choice, but we've got others. Pop into Bob's Shop, and we'll sort you out with the right bits for your ride!
Important Fitment Notes
Make sure the new rotors are the right ones for your make and year. Some models are a bit different. And always do both sides at once, so your braking's even as. No point having one side pulling harder than the other, eh?

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
