Description

Sorting Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — The DBA Way
> Disc brake rotors are a seriously important bit of kit for your Lexus or Toyota's brakes. Over time, they take a hammering from friction and heat, especially if you're giving it some stick in a Mark X or a hybrid Crown. This wear and tear means your braking won't be as sharp as it should be, and that's not ideal for anyone.
What Clued You In?
• Brakes squealing like a stuck pig or grinding away?
• Feeling a shudder through the brake pedal?
• Taking longer to pull up than usual?
• Rotors looking worse for wear with scoring, cracks, or rust?
• Brake pads wearing unevenly?
Will it pass WOF?
Worn or dodgy disc brake rotors are a classic reason for failing a WOF here in NZ. Your rotors need to be above the minimum thickness and free from major damage to get the green light.

Dodgy brake rotors are a real safety risk. Swapping them out keeps your braking spot-on and lowers the chance of anything nasty happening. Pop into Bob's Shop and we can sort you out with exactly what you need for your Lexus or Toyota!
Fitment Notes
Double-check these rotors are the right fit for your specific Lexus IS, Toyota Crown, or Mark X model and year. Rotor sizes can vary. Always swap out rotors in pairs (both sides of the axle) to keep your braking balanced.

• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
